Hosey Helps Dodgers Earn Split With Stars

Outfielder Steve Hosey was 5 for 8 as the Valley Dodgers split a Golden State League doubleheader with the host San Diego Stars on Saturday.

After losing the first game, 8-6, Valley won the second, 9-6. Hosey’s run-scoring double in the seventh inning broke a 6-6 tie.

The Dodgers’ Corey Aurand hit a pair of home runs, one in each game, and teammate Albert Kolesar added a home run in the second game.
