New Zealand’s challenge for the America’s Cup, still in a New York court, has encountered nuclear submarines off the coast of San Diego. The 90-foot waterline yacht New Zealand has been bumping into the wakes churned up by nuclear subs cruising into San Diego, and underwater sonar buoys were distracting the Kiwi electricians.
