A 32-year-old woman was arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man outside a Glendale apartment building early Friday, police said.
The man, who was not identified because relatives had not been notified, was taken to Glendale Adventist Medical Center, where he died a short time after the 5:30 a.m. incident. The stabbing occurred outside an apartment in the 400 block of Burchett Street, said Christopher Loop, a Glendale police investigator.
Yvonne Hicks of Hawthorne was arrested at the scene, Loop said. Her clothes were covered with blood, he said.
Loop said officers went to the scene after several residents of the apartment reported a woman screaming.
Hicks was being held without bail at the Glendale City Jail.
