A 40-year-old man has been arrested in the fatal shooting of his estranged wife in a Burbank park, Burbank police said Thursday.
Raul Moyers of Glendale was being held without bail in connection with the slaying of his wife, Linda, 37, in McCambridge Park shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday, said Sgt. Don Goldberg. She was shot twice in the chest and was pronounced dead at the park on Glenoaks Boulevard.
Witnesses told police that they heard the shots and saw Raul Moyers, who was holding a handgun, flee the park in a pickup truck.
Goldberg said a witness gave police an address where the man might be found. Police later arrested Moyers about 10:40 p.m. at a vacant apartment in the 200 block of West Verdugo Avenue in Burbank.
Police have not established a motive for the slaying. Goldberg said the couple had been separated just a few days.
