Local News in Brief : Smaller General Fund Budget
- Share via
The Rolling Hills City Council this week approved a 1988-89 general fund budget of $463,100, about $10,000 less than last year. An expensive sewer study, which was completed last year, no longer appears in the budget.
The largest budget items are for police protection, which is contracted from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for $119,600, and $40,396 for public works.
The council approved a total budget for the next fiscal year of more than $850,000, which includes money allocated for the general fund, as well as separate accounts for refuse collection, traffic safety, transit and self-insurance.
