Duarte : New Rotary President
The Duarte Rotary Club has installed its second consecutive woman president.
Donna Georgino, the city’s director of parks and recreation, took over leadership of the club last week from Maxwell Elementary School Principal Sylvia Whitlock.
The club was ousted from the international service organization in 1978 for admitting women. Last year the U.S. Supreme Court ordered the Duarte club to be readmitted into the organization.
