Meese Aide Who Resigned Joins New York Law Firm

NEW YORK — Former Deputy Atty. Gen. Arnold I. Burns, who quit the Justice Department in March over controversy surrounding Atty. Gen. Edwin Meese III, became a partner Tuesday in a prestigious New York law firm.
Burns will work on corporate litigation and administrative and regulatory matters at the 113-year-old firm of Proskauer Rose Goetz & Mendelsohn.
