Regarding “How I Fell in Love With Jane,” by Tom Hayden (May 15): As in the case of rock ‘n’ roll stars and their camp followers--isn’t this reporting best left to the pages of the National Enquirer or People magazine? Do any of your readers really care how Mr. and Mrs. Hayden met? You would provide far more of a service to your readership by documenting the stories of the Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force officers shot down over North Vietnam and the wives who united for their release. These are the POWs Mrs. Hayden referred to as “liars” and murderers. Their sagas are the true love stories and far more inspiring than that of Mr. and Mrs. Hayden.
