Iran is drawing up a timetable for the release by Christmas of Britons held in Lebanon and Iran, a British report said. Independent Radio News, quoting an unidentified Iranian source, said that Nicholas Nicola, 23, who was arrested in Iran in 1986, and Roger Cooper, 53, arrested last year on spy charges, would be freed first, followed by three hostages in Lebanon. Iran said it would pressure those groups in Beirut that are holding journalist John McCarthy, teacher Brian Keenan and Anglican church envoy Terry Waite, the report said.
