American Medical International’s net income rose 6.5% to $33.7 million for its third quarter, compared to the year-ago period. The Beverly Hills-based hospital chain said its revenue was up 10.3% to $760.6 million during the quarter, compared to a year ago. The company attributed its performance to a cost-cutting program and said it would further benefit by the divestiture of its predominantly smaller hospitals by the end of the fiscal year.
