Omni Hotels Group will be sold for $135 million to World International Limited and the Wharf Limited, the companies announced. The group is a chain of 39 hotels in the United States and Mexico. The transaction is expected to be completed in July. Omni Hotels, owned by the Irish airline Aer Lingus since 1976, is the 14th-largest hotel chain in the United States. Its properties include the Omni Berkshire Place in New York and Chicago’s Omni Ambassador East. World International and the Wharf head a group of nine companies in Hong Kong and Singapore, with interests in hotels, real estate, transportation and retailing.
