Local News in Brief : Man Killed Over Graffiti
An argument between rival gang members over spraying graffiti led to the shooting death of a young man in front of a small apartment house in southwest Los Angeles late Monday night, southwest division police said.
Details were sketchy, but police detained at least two men who may have been rival gang members. Detective John Bunch said that first calls to the scene indicated there had been a drive-by shooting, but apparently the participants began arguing on a sidewalk when one of them sprayed graffiti on a wall of the apartment.
