Two men robbed a Circle K market early Monday morning, stealing an unknown amount of cash, several cartons of cigarettes and a 12-pack of beer, authorities said.

Huntington Beach Police Sgt. Carl Vidano said two men in their 20s entered the market at Beach Boulevard and Yorktown Avenue at about 1:45 a.m.

One of the suspects pulled a gun described as either a sawed-off rifle or shotgun, he said.

The men locked the store clerk in the bathroom, then apparently fled on foot; the victim did not see or hear a car.

The clerk described one suspect as a blond white man about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 145 pounds, wearing dark pants and a white T-shirt, police said. The second suspect was described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall, white, with a thin build and wearing sweat pants, a light blue T-shirt and a white baseball cap.
