Half of the prime office-building tenants in North America changed their business addresses in the past three years, according to preliminary findings of a study conducted by the Building Owners & Managers Assn., which also predicts that the trend will continue, as 25% of the 400 executives surveyed are currently reviewing their space requirements. Lack of ample, functional space was the most important reason cited for moving; but 67% of those surveyed expressed emotional attachment to their buildings and would feel regret over moving.
