Local News in Brief : Brea : Bicyclist Killed When Hit by Passing Truck

A Fullerton man was fatally injured when he swerved his bicycle in front of a truck on Imperial Highway in Brea, police said Wednesday.
Matthew Schultze, 29, of Fullerton was heading west on Imperial and approaching the intersection of Flower Avenue about 9:30 Monday morning when a truck started to pass him, according to Police Sgt. Jeff Keyworth. Schultze swerved, and the truck, which was driven by Steven Craig Parks of Riverside, struck him.
Schultze was flown to UCI Medical Center in Orange, according to Keyworth, but died about two hours later.
No charges have been filed in the incident.
