Warner Bros., which has agreed to acquire Lorimar Telepictures, will take over domestic distribution of Lorimar’s current slate of feature films in theaters and for pay/cable television, as well as worldwide distribution of its home video library, the companies announced. Lorimar, which has been distributing its own films, will continue to do so in international theatrical markets. Asked if Lorimar will continue to produce feature films after the current slate under the aegis of film entertainment group head Bernie Brillstein, spokeswoman Barbara Brogliati said: “That is in an early stage of discussion.”
