Designer of Naples Custom Home Gets Award
The Long Beach architectural firm of Morris, Deasy & Panos was honored at the Pacific Coast Builders Conference in San Francisco with a Gold Nugget Merit Award for the design of a Naples Island bayfront custom home for Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pocino. Architect Randy J. Morris, 39, one of the firm’s three partners, drew the design that was chosen from more than 700 entries from 14 western states. The three-story, four-bedroom home features marble flooring and special security shutters. Completed a year ago, it has 3,480 square feet of floor space and is valued at $2 million. Morris is a native of Long Beach, a graduate of USC, and has been doing architectural work in the city for 16 years.
