Sen. Specter Recovering From Blood Clot Surgery

WASHINGTON — Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) was resting Tuesday in Bethesda Naval Hospital after undergoing surgery to remove a blood clot in his right leg, a spokesman said. The clot was removed Monday after he went to the hospital complaining of pain from a torn muscle suffered recently when he was playing squash.
