“The American Comedy Awards†was absolutely the worst show I’ve ever seen. If that was comedy, then I’m a Shakespearean actress. I found the female comedians to be crass, ugly and without any grace or charm whatsoever. Sid Caesar was right when he said, “It’s hard to be a comedian and a lady at the same time.†It was a pleasure to see Imogene Coca prove him wrong. And George Burns, Jack Lemmon and a handful of others showed what class really is. Well, that may have been the second annual “ACA,†but it was the last one for me. When I want to laugh, I’ll read the news.
