Four-time Tony-winner Angela Lansbury will be playing a return engagement on Broadway when she hosts the Tony Awards Sunday at 9 p.m. on CBS (Channels 2 and 8).

Lansbury performed the same duties on last year’s Tony telecast, ending up with an Emmy nomination for her efforts (she also was an Emmy nominee for her CBS series, “Murder, She Wroteâ€). In addition, the Tony Awards show itself received the Emmy as best variety/music program.

This time, Lansbury will be presiding over ceremonies where Andrew Lloyd Webber’s lavish “Phantom of the Opera,†Stephen Sondheim’s fairy tale “Into the Woods†and a revival of Cole Porter’s “Anything Goes†dominate the Tony nominations with 10 each.

By coincidence, Sunday marks the 100th birthday of actress-producer-director Antoinette Perry, namesake of the Tonys that recognize theatrical achievement. She died in 1946 at 58.
