PARIS — John McEnroe and teen-ager Andre Agassi were named Saturday to play singles for the U.S. Davis Cup team that will face Argentina in an American zone semifinal July 22-24 at Buenos Aires.
The doubles team of Ken Flach and Robert Seguso will join McEnroe, 29, and Agassi, 18, on the team announced by captain Tom Gorman at the French Open.
The winner of the American zone tournament returns next year to the Davis Cup World Group. The United States was eliminated from the world group a year ago by West Germany.
