NORTHFIELD, Minn. — Molly Moore of Occidental College finished fifth in the heptathlon in the NCAA Division III track championships Thursday at Carleton College.
Moore, a senior, was in third place after the first day, but she faltered in the last three events of the seven-event competition. She finished with 4,311 points, better than her season best of 4,292 but well short of Baldwin-Wallace’s Sonja Ming, who won with 4,776 points.
Moore is also scheduled to compete in the open high jump this weekend.
Ronny Cunningham of Occidental did not place in the top 10 in the decathlon. He was in seventh after the first day of competition.
