Watson Shoots a 72, Holds City Golf Lead

Donna Watson of Yorba Linda shot even-par 72 Thursday to remain the leader with a 143 after two rounds of the 65th Los Angeles City women’s golf championship.
Heide Voorhees of Woodley Lakes completed 18 holes at the 5,890-yard Balboa course in the Sepulveda Golf Complex at one-under par. She trails Watson by three strokes as play heads into the final round today at the Encino course.
Another three strokes behind at 149 is Amy Bubon of the Rockman golf club, who came in with the day’s best round at 70.
