PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Vinny Pazienza, who lost his lightweight championship in February, will fight Felix Dubray as a junior welterweight next month, it was announced Monday.
“Back at it one more time,” Pazienza said of the June 27 bout at Providence Civic Center. “I’m looking for big things, and this is just the start of it.”
Pazienza will take on Dubray, 13-1 with 8 knockouts, in his first fight since he lost his International Boxing Federation lightweight title to Greg Haugen on a 15-round decision at Atlantic City on Feb. 6.
Pazienza, who currently weighs 152 pounds, said he will make the 140- to 146-pound classification in five weeks.
