British jet engine maker Rolls-Royce won a $374-million order to supply 26 engines to the Boeing Corp. as part of the largest commercial jet aircraft deal in history. Rolls-Royce said in a statement from London that it would supply 26 RB211 engines for three types of Boeing aircraft ordered by the Beverly Hills-based International Lease Finance Corp. The deal is part of a $5-billion commercial jet aircraft order announced last week by the leasing company. ILFC ordered 100 aircraft from Boeing and 30 from Airbus Industrie, the European consortium, for delivery between April, 1989, and December, 1995.
