American Nucleonics, a division of Eaton Corp., said William L. Foley resigned as president to pursue other interests.
The Westlake Village maker of military electronics equipment said Frank J. Thomas, president of Eaton’s Pacific Sierra Research subsidiary in Los Angeles, will temporarily serve as president until a successor is found.
A former Northrop Corp. executive, Foley was brought in to turn American Nucleonics around in 1977. Eaton, a Cleveland defense firm, bought the company for $23.7 million in 1986.
