Bill Stein of Cambria (Viewers’ Views, May 1) jogged me into writing about Kirstie Alley and “Cheers.” I feel she’s doing the best she can with an ill-defined character. She’s beautiful and has enormous potential for being a fine dramatic actress. And Denise Bender (Views, May 1) is right on target regarding loud commercials. My remote control’s mute button is almost worn out. After all these years of complaints, why doesn’t someone do something?
