COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Former UC Irvine player Kevin Magee, the oldest player attending the U.S. Olympic basketball trials, left the Olympic Training Center Friday and returned home. He reportedly was suffering from flu-like symptoms.
Magee, 29, had just completed his season with Club Maccabi in Tel Aviv, Israel.
While at Irvine, McGee was selected to the All-American team in 1981 and 1982, when he averaged 27.5 and 25.2 points per game.
