DENVER — Gov. Roy Romer will address Agate High School graduates Sunday--both of them.
Romer’s office announced Thursday that the governor will deliver the commencement address in the school gymnasium at Agate, a tiny farming community.
“I came from a small school on the eastern plains. I know how it feels,” Romer said. “I simply wanted to send a message that these two graduates are equally as important as a graduating class of 2,000. Size doesn’t count. Quality and effort are what is important.”
