West Valley Players Dominate Tennis Tournament

Mark Sundahl of El Camino Real High, the top-seeded singles player from the West Valley League, defeated Julian Hernandez of South Gate, 6-0, 6-0, in the City Section tennis tournament Thursday at The Racquet Centre in Studio City.
El Camino Real’s Scott Blumin, the second-seeded player, matched Sundahl’s feat in his victory over Cesar Modesto of Bell.
Players representing the West Valley League won 13 of 16 singles matches against players from Eastern League schools.
In doubles, Justin Sherring and Rajeev Datt of Chatsworth, the top-seeded team, won their match, 6-0, 6-0. In all, West Valley League representatives won 13 of 16 doubles matches.
