La Quinta Falls to Glendale in 3-A Semifinal

Glendale High School defeated La Quinta, 15-11, 15-11, 15-9, Thursday in a Southern Section 3-A semifinal volleyball match at Glendale. The loss ends the season for La Quinta (16-5), the Garden Grove League champion.
Tony Price had 11 kills and Craig Frisby and Tom Potwora had 8 kills and 9 blocks each for La Quinta.
Glendale, the No. 2-seeded team, advances to the final against top-seeded Arcadia Saturday.
