El Camino, Harbor Nines in Action

El Camino and Harbor colleges return to action today after receiving first-round byes in the Southern California community college baseball playoffs.
El Camino (29-14), South Coast Conference co-champion, meets Cypress (32-9) in one four-team double-elimination regional at Cerritos College in Norwalk. Harbor (29-14), Southern California Athletic Conference champion, takes on Palomar (27-11) of San Marcos in the other Southland regional at Rancho Santiago College in Santa Ana. Both contests begin at 11 a.m, and competition continues through Sunday.
Also today, Cerritos (34-11), which shared the South Coast Conference title with El Camino, plays host to College of the Canyons (32-6) while Oxnard (26-13) visits Rancho Santiago (34-7).
