Rickety, violent star vehicle for Whoopi Goldberg, cast as an LAPD undercover detective and anti-drug crusader. Whoopi is fun but the film is so ramshackle and ludicrous that it self-destructs. Sam Elliott has a nothing role as Goldberg’s leading man.
(MGM/UA will donate 50 cents to the anti-drug Just Say No Foundation for each copy of “Fatal Beauty” purchased by video retailers.)
