In the second such incident within a week, a photo-processing business was robbed late Tuesday by a man armed with a knife, police said Wednesday.
At about 5:25 p.m. a man approached the clerk at the Photo Express booth in the 17000 block of Magnolia Street, brandished a 6-inch switch-blade knife and demanded cash, police said. The man was given $120 and fled on foot, police said.
Before he escaped, police said, the man cut the phone line in the booth.
In a similar incident on May 10, a man of the same description robbed the Fast Foto booth in the 16000 block of Brookhurst Street and made off with $300, police said.
In that robbery, the man threatened the clerk with a knife and, after getting the money, fled on foot, police said.
Police Lt. Rod Gillman said investigators are not certain the robberies are related.
