THE OUTDOORS : Gull Lake a Hot Spot in Sierra

Trout fishing in the Eastern High Sierra has been on the upswing, with one of the most consistent bites occurring at Gull Lake in the June Loop.
Limits of rainbow trout have become common, and some 3-pound fish have been taken. Don Schaffer of Anaheim landed a 16-pound 9-ounce brown trout on 4-pound test line last Saturday.
