East Riverside County Home Sales Record Traditional Spurt

Sales of new houses in the desert communities of east Riverside County experienced a traditional season surge during the first quarter of this year, reports Residential Trends, a housing audit published by Costa Mesa-based Market Profiles.
First-quarter sales were 734 compared to 407 in the fourth quarter of last year. Last year’s first quarter sales were 755.
In east Riverside County, 75% of all new house sales have been for attached units. Prices of attached houses varied from $59,950 to $615,000. However, 62.6% of sales took place in houses priced from $100,000 to $200,000.
Prices of detached houses ranged from $80,000 to more than $300,000. The largest percentage of sales, 23.3%, was in houses priced between $80,000 and $100,000.
The number of projects in east Riverside County rose from 58 to 61. Of these, 24 consisted of detached houses and attached, 37.
The average price of all new houses rose 22.3% from the previous quarter, to about $192,744.
