A North Hollywood man was shot and killed early Saturday during an argument outside a bar, Los Angeles police said.
Mario Cigarroa Rivas, 31, was shot several times during the 1:55 a.m. disagreement with an undetermined number of people outside the Puerta Vallarta tavern at 10909 Burbank Blvd. in North Hollywood, Detective Mike Coffey said.
Rivas had been in the bar before the shooting, Coffey said. Detectives had not determined what the argument was about, or who shot Rivas, he said. Police were continuing to question witnesses Saturday.
Friends of Rivas took him to St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, where he was pronounced dead at 2:45 a.m., Coffey said.
