Wooden to Be Honored--John Wooden, the retired UCLA basketball coach whose teams won 10 NCAA championships, will be honored by Alternative Living for the Aging at a June 1 dinner at the Beverly Hilton.

The group, a nonprofit organization that provides housing alternatives such as roommate-matching for older people, also will present its first corporate award to Arco for “leadership in philanthropy as well as business.”
