San Fernando Wins League Golf Title

Led by Mark Pogue’s 89 and Jan Percherski’s 91, San Fernando High won the City Section 2-A League golf title by 28 strokes at Harding Golf Course in Griffith Park on Wednesday.
San Fernando, which shot 499 on the par-72 layout, defeated Van Nuys (527), Downtown Business Magnet (554) and Westchester (615).
Chris McMullen of Downtown Business Magnet took individual honors with an 11-over-par 83, followed by Pogue, Percherski, Zack Rynew of Van Nuys (95) and Jason Tanaka of Van Nuys (96).
