$10,000 Pay Hike Boosts City Manager to $116,196

The San Diego City Council has awarded City Manager John Lockwood a $10,000 pay increase for the fiscal year beginning July 1, a raise that keeps him the highest paid official in city government.
The 9.6% raise will boost Lockwood’s annual pay from $105,984 to $116,196.
Other high-ranking city officials receiving pay increases in a Tuesday vote by the council include City Attorney John Witt ($95,064 to $100,188); Planning Director Robert Spaulding ($95,064 to $99,456); City Clerk Charles Abdelnour ($64,512 to $68,880) and Director of Intergovernmental Relations Patricia Tennyson (from $60,876 to $64,512).
City Auditor Ed Ryan was granted a tiny $732 pay hike, from $73,968 to $74,700.
