The intruder who was shot and killed by a Ladera Heights woman had been convicted of murder in 1979 (Metro, May 5). He was convicted and jailed again in 1984 for armed robbery. He was on probation for drug possession in 1987.
What kind of justice system do we have that lets a person with this kind of record be on probation and not in jail?
