Bellflower : Mayor’s Mother Buried

A funeral was held Tuesday for Delilah Cleveland, a longtime Bellflower resident and the mother of Mayor Kenneth Cleveland. Mrs. Cleveland died May 5 in the Apple Valley home of her daughter after a long illness. She was 79.
Mrs. Cleveland, a native of Iowa, moved to Bellflower in 1942 and became active in various women’s groups and in Calvary Baptist Church on South Clark Avenue. She moved to Apple Valley six months ago to live with her daughter, Lois Acevedo.
