Charles W. Duddles has been named executive vice president and chief administrative officer and Hal W. Smith was named executive vice president of Foodmaker, the operator and franchiser of Jack in the Box and Chi-Chi’s restaurants. Robert Nugent was named president of Jack in the Box.
Duddles, 48, previously was senior vice president and chief financial officer. Earlier this year he was named a director of the company. Smith, 41, chief executive officer of Chi-Chi’s, was also chairman of Chi-Chi’s until the company was acquired by Foodmaker in April 1988. Nugent, 46, previously was executive vice president--operations and marketing. He was named to Foodmaker’s board of directors in February 1988.
Stephen Oyster, executive vice president--franchising and development, resigned to become a Jack in the Box franchisee.
