Billy Martin, still battered and bruised, said in New York that he would take a lie-detector test to prove he was attacked in a topless bar in Arlington, Tex., last weekend, even though police maintain that he threw the only punch of the fight.
“I told the truth, period,” Martin said. “I have no reason to lie.”
Earlier, Arlington police said that Martin was not a victim because he started the fight and have closed the case.
