General to Be Promoted

WASHINGTON — President Reagan has nominated Marine Maj. Gen. Charles H. Pitman for promotion to lieutenant general and assignment as deputy chief of staff for aviation, the Pentagon announced Tuesday. Pitman, 52, is assistant deputy chief of staff for aviation.
