Three founding members of the Byrds and blues greats Albert Collins and Willie Dixon will be on hand to help at the Ash Grove--Los Angeles top folk and blues venue in the ‘60s--for two 30th anniversary celebration concerts at the Wiltern Theatre on June 17 and 18. Ex-Byrds Chris Hillman (with his current Desert Rose Band), Roger McGuinn and David Crosby will perform the first night on a bill that includes David Lindley, Richard Greene and Sabia. Collins and Dixon will be joined by the Bernie Pearl Blues band on the second night. A new version of the Ash Grove recently reopened at 6820 Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood not far from its original Melrose Avenue site.
