Ahmet Ertegun better blow out another couple of candles on Atlantic Records’ birthday cake. More big names have canceled appearances at the label’s 40th anniversary bash on Saturday. Joining Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Neil Young as no-shows: Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey, who won’t be orchestrating a Who reunion. At least 30 acts spanning the firm’s rich musical history will be performing, with rumors very strong that Led Zeppelin will play a reunion set at the bash with Jason Bonham filling in on drums for his late dad John. Home Box Office will telecast the last four hours of the show live.
