Kidwell Places 5th, Allen 6th in Cycling

Kris Kidwell of Anaheim placed fifth and Lynn Allen of Balboa Island was sixth at the Marishel Criterium cycling race at Laguna Niguel Saturday.

Kidwell, 27, and Allen, 24, both former track and field standouts at Corona del Mar High School, stayed with the lead pack of 25 cyclists over the hilly, 30-mile course until the final 20 meters.
