Smith, Moorpark to Bid for Golf Titles

Brent Smith will lead Moorpark College into the individual and team junior college state golf championships Monday at South Hills Country Club in West Covina.
Ron Fiala and Lee Martin of Ventura, Bill Wagner of Santa Barbara City, Ernie Parker of Palomar and Mark Corley of West Los Angeles also will compete for the individual title.
Other southern division schools that qualified for the team championships are Saddleback, Long Beach City, College of the Desert and College of the Canyons.
The northern team will include Canada College of Redwood City, Monterey Peninsula, Chabot and San Joaquin Delta.
