Dolphins Will Play Exhibition Game Against 49ers in London on July 31
NEW YORK — The Miami Dolphins will play the San Francisco 49ers in the American Bowl at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday, July 31, the National Football League announced Thursday. NBC will televise the game at 10 a.m., PDT.
The televised exhibition schedule also includes a game in Sweden and two appearances by the Super Bowl champion Washington Redskins. There will be 14 exhibition games televised nationally, beginning with the Hall of Fame game July 30 at Canton, Ohio, between the Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals on ABC.
The first NFL game to be played in continental Europe will match the Chicago Bears against the Minnesota Vikings Aug. 14 at Goteborg, Sweden. CBS will televise the game at 11 a.m., PDT.
Washington, which won the Super Bowl by defeating Denver, 42-10, at San Diego in January, will play at Miami Aug. 13 on ABC, and will meet the Raiders Aug. 20 at the Coliseum on CBS.
